    I'm guessing that time of 1hr 16minutes includes the walk to the station, having 2 express trains fly past you, 1 train packed full to the point where people's faces are sandwiched against the windows that nobody at your platform could get on...

    and then an old school 1 car train pulls up with graffiti on the inside and 3500 pages of the Metro littered on the floor and covering 65% of the seats on the T. It smells vaguely of one of those "Public Alley 978" streets and you hate your life and show up to class 30 minutes late.

    P.S. The above description was the main reason I never took the T to class while at BU. If it was raining/pouring/snowing/negative-degree wind chills... didn't matter, you can never rely on the T to get somewhere on time. The few times I'd try... I'd watch the 2 express trains go past me, not get on the 3rd full train... and I'd go back to my dorm and go to sleep.
